AB is a Latin preposition governing ablative alternating with the preposition a, ( ab is used when the following word begins with a vowel and when begins with consonant ) which is part of saying Latinists as ab initio, ab ovo, ab intestato, ab aeterno, ab origine, ab abrupt, ab urbe condita... and that means, from ( ab initio : from the beginning ).
